GOVERNOR'S MARCELLUS SHALE ADVISORY COMMISSION

Notice of Meeting

 This notice announces the first meeting of the Governor's Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission (Commission).

 This Commission, composed of State government leaders, industry and environmental experts, has been established by Governor Tom Corbett to insure the successful development of the natural gas industry and advise the Governor on pertinent issues, including possible legislative and regulatory changes.

 The agenda for each meeting, including meeting materials, will be available through the Public Participation Center on the Department of Environmental Protection's (Department) web site at http://www.depweb.state.pa.us.

 The initial meeting will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA.

 Seating in the conference room is limited, so individuals planning on attending are requested to contact Christopher Gray at (717) 783-8727 or chrgray@state.pa.us so that the Department can anticipate the level of public attendance. The Department is unable to reserve seating for guests. Public comment should be directed to the Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission, Office of the Governor, 225 Main Capitol Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120, marcelluscommission@state.pa.us.
